Greyd.Hub
Note: By default, you will find one website (for single site installations) or several websites (for multisite installations) in your Greyd.Hub. You also have the option of using the Site Connector (available in the Scale plan) to add sites from other installations (whether single or multisite) to your Hub dashboard. All functions (e.g. website migration, Global Content, etc.) are then also available to you across all connected installations.

The first video provides an overview of the Greyd.Hub dashboard and shows you how to migrate assets between sites:

Hi, this is Sandra from GREYD. In this video I’d like to show you how to manage all your websites easily and comfortably in one central backend with our integrated website management solution GREYD.Hub. You can access GREYD.Hub via the GREYD.Suite dashboard or alternatively for single sites via the GREYD.Suite menu or in multi-site installations via the network administration. Please note that admin or super admin rights are necessary if you want to use GREYD.Hub.
In this video we will have a look at the first tab “Websites”. Here you will find an overview of all your websites. By default you will see all websites within this installation or even websites of other installations – more on that later. You can switch between different view modes, either panels or a reduced list view mode.
Each panel or row represents one website. At first you will see all relevant information on the respective website: a preview (which you can disable if your installation is very big and/or your internet connection is slow), the domain, title and subtitle of the website, as well as links to the dashboard, customizer and setup. You can edit the title and subtitle directly here in GREYD.Hub.
Let’s move on with actions. Here or also up here you will find our one-click website migration. With that you can migrate a website from one domain to another within seconds. Just select the website and the target domain. With the toggle here on the left you will migrate a cleaned version without historical data such as form entries, user roles or revisions. With the toggle on the right you can also create a backup of the website you are going to overwrite first. I definitely recommend that as website migrations cannot be reversed. Then click on “Start Migration” and you will find an exact copy of the original website on your new domain. You can see the backup that’s been created automatically and in your Hub dashboard you will now find two identical websites.
As an alternative to the one-click migration you can also only export a website or upload an export here. If you migrate websites within a multi-site or already have all necessary plugins installed, you can also use the content download which has a smaller file size. If you only need the design settings of your websites – so all the global styles as set in the customizer – you will find a dedicated import/export button here. And if you want to use one of our website templates from the template library or a custom template, this is where you can import the template and create new templates from this installation. If you want to learn more about working with website templates you’ll find a tutorial video in our template library in the Helpcenter.
This is how all the actions look in the list view. Further import and export options can be found in the tab “More”. You can switch tabs individually per panel or also centrally for all websites up here. Furthermore you will then find import and export buttons for database tables, media and files as well as plugins and also the cleaned download versions. Last but not least there’s also an option to install, reset or – in case of broken database tables – to repair GREYD.Suite, and also to reset WordPress or delete a website.
The tab “Information” shows you an overview of all activated plugins per website as well as the theme version, blog ID and admin email. Up here on the right you can also search for particular websites. After some time you will be reminded to refresh your page since there might have been changes in the meantime in other tabs or from other users. Please make sure to refresh your page before making backups or any changes.
So as you can see, with GREYD.Hub you really have a great dashboard to centrally manage all your websites and also import and export elements within seconds. Creating new websites is also extremely easy directly in GREYD.Hub. Just click on the button and enter the domain, website title, language and admin email of your new website. If you now go back to GREYD.Hub you’ll find a new website and can install GREYD.Suite with just one click as just shown a couple of minutes ago. So here’s the panel with the standard WordPress theme and in the tab “More” you can activate GREYD Speed.
In our Helpcenter you will find tutorial videos on all the other admin features here in GREYD.Hub like backups, database table management or connecting various multi-sites or additional single site installations.

The following video shows you how to use the backups dashboard of Greyd.Hub:

Hi, this is Sandra from GREYD. In this video I’d like to show you how easy it is to make back-ups with GREYD.Hub, the integrated website management solution of GREYD.SUITE. You’ll find GREYD.Hub in single sites on the left under GREYD.SUITE or in multisite installations in the network administration. Please be aware that you need to be admin or super admin in order to view GREYD.Hub.
Back-ups can be managed in the tab “back-ups”. Here you can download a zip file with a full back-up of all files in your installation including the WordPress core files. With this button here, you can also download a full SQL back-up of your database. If you don’t want to back-up your entire installation but only individual websites or just parts of your websites such as design settings, media or database tables, you can do that in the general dashboard with these buttons here.
Down here, you’ll find an overview of all back-ups that have been downloaded. You can download these back-ups again or also delete them to make room on your server. Please note that deleting a back-up cannot be undone.

And last but not least, learn how to manage database tables via Greyd.Hub:

Hi, this is Sandra from GREYD. In this video I’d like to show you how easy it is to manage your database with GREYD.Hub, the integrated website management solution of GREYD.SUITE.
You’ll find GREYD.Hub in single site installations here on the left under GREYD.SUITE or in multisites in the network administration. Please be aware that you need to be admin or super admin in order to view GREYD.Hub.
To manage your database tables, open the tab database. Here you’ll find an overview of all database tables per website in your installation.
You can now select individual tables or also use the mark all button. As an example, I am now going to select all wp_option tables.
You can now download them directly or you can also replace values. For example, you can change the admin email globally without having to log in to each website. Just enter the old and new value and then click on “download”. To make your changes effective, upload your updated SQL files here.
As you can see, the admin email was this one first and if I now refresh the page, the new one is displayed.
You can also use GREYD.Hub to delete database tables, for example if there are still tables of a plugin that has long been deleted. Just select the respective tables and click on “delete”.
Please be aware that deleting tables cannot be undone. In general, you should always keep in mind that GREYD.Hub operates directly on your database. If you are not 100% sure what you are doing, it might be better to ask for help from somebody who does.
As an alternative, if you only want to make simple back-ups, you can also use the export features of the GREYD.Hub dashboard.

If you are in the Scale plan, you will also be able to create staging environments directly in Greyd.Hub. Here’s a video showing you how:
-
Hi, this is Sandra from GREYD and in this video I’m going to show you how easy it is to create staging versions of your website in GREYD.Hub. With that you can easily test new plugins or new designs, new settings, without having to fear that you accidentally crash your website. It’s super easy.
We’re already here in GREYD.Hub. To create a staging version of for example this website, I can either click here in the staging assistant or just click here on “create staging version”. So this is the live website we’re talking about. Now I have two possibilities. I can either create a new site for the staging version or I can use an existing one and select from my websites in GREYD.Hub.
The options are both the same. I can, if I want to, protect the page, so it’s only accessible to users or admins or also only with password. I can then define whether I want to clone the entire content from the live website right away, which is usually what you want to do, except when you already have a copy of your live website for example and don’t want to overwrite it right now. And in case you’re working with an existing site, you can create a backup of the old one if you like to. I’m going to create a new URL, I don’t need protection and I want to clone the content. And it’s just one click or two and then we have a staging version.
Here in GREYD.Hub I can now see these are the settings and options of the live website and I can just change that here to the staging site and switch between those two here. And I can also go here and open the tab “staging”, where I have an overview of all staging connections of my website.
One note before I’m going to change something on my staging version. If you want to test different plugin versions, please make sure that your staging site is not in the same multisite as your live website, as then you cannot test different plugin versions.
I’m now going to make some changes on my staging website. Let’s just change a headline for example. Let’s say “new headline” and publish. If I now refresh the staging version, I can see that here a modification has taken place. So at all times with the staging overview here, you can see exactly what has happened on which version of your website.
I can see that one post has been edited on the staging version, I can get some details here and I would also see if there had been any changes on the live website in the meantime. That way you make sure that you don’t accidentally overwrite new content or edited content on your live website when pushing changes from your staging version.
You now have different actions that you can do. You can always adopt the state from the live site to the staging site. You can also reset to the previous state on the live site. And what I’m now going to do, I’m going to push my changes, which was the change of the headline, to my live version. I can then say, I want to push everything that’s been changed or also just the design, just the database or the media. In my case I’ve only edited a post. I’m now going to push the changes.
That’s it. If we’re now going to visit the live website, we will see that there’s the new headline as well. So, it’s super easy to push changes from your staging version to your live website. And in the overview you can always see a full log of everything that’s been done. In our case that’s just the creation of the connection and pushing changes in terms of the database to the live website.
